Veering between one-liners\, short story jokes\, and sometimes even song\, Opitz’ writing is as well-regarded as his character and performance work. \n\nChad has been a featured guest on the Doug Loves Movies Podcast and The Benson Interruption. He was a featured performer at the 2016-2024 San Francisco Sketchfests. Chad was the winner of Bay Area legend Jimmy Gunn’s “Best Newcomer” award. He is a regular paid feature at Punch Line San Francisco and Sacramento\, Cobb’s Comedy Club as well as at Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club and San Jose Improv. He’s been invited to perform for High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver\, Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin\, TX. and headlined the B4UDie Comedy Festival in Anchorage\, Alaska.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCandy Shaw\n\n\n\nCandy is a Bay Area-based comedian. She appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and placed 3rd in California’s Funniest Female Contest (2009). She also performed at San Francisco‘s unique comedy celebration\, Comedy Day and has opened for such greats as Mark Curry\, Will Durst\, Bobcat Goldthwait\, Marga Gomez\, Rob Schneider\, and Tom Segura.mess \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrian Maggi\, Your Host\n\n\n\nBrian is the creator\, and host of Adulted\, and a Bay Area comedian and writer. He left the high stress world of tech for the low wage life of standup comedy performing under the stage name Skip Everett. His biggest claim to fame is inventing the Spam filter so he’d have an excuse for not reading his parents’ emails. \n\nHe performs regularly around San Francisco including Cobbs\, The Punchline\, and Rooster T. Feathers. He has written for Chicago’s Second City\, and co-created the underground humor magazine “In Formation.” He is a published author\, and keynote speaker on innovation and creativity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCulinary Angels is an all-volunteer\, donation-based non-profit organization that delivers nutritious meals to people going through a cancer. \n\n\n\nA portion of each ticket sold is donated to Culinary Angels to help them with their mission to bring nutritious meals to people going through cancer. \n\n\n\nTheir volunteers are trained to cook with as many organic ingredients as possible and focus on nutrient-rich\, plant-based\, seasonal ingredients. Emphasis is placed on using cruciferous vegetables\, sea vegetables and homemade broths in our soups. Culinary Angels believes this philosophy will help promote health\, wellness\, and hope to people who are compromised by their challenge. Organic\, healing foods are an important part of our bodies’ natural instinct to be well!

You’ll also find him hosting at the Hollywood Improv\, Punch Line and Cobbs in San Francisco\, Laffs Tuscon\, San Jose Improv\, Punch Line Sacramento\, Notoriety in Las Vegas\, the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club\, as well as showcases at Flappers in Burbank\, The Well in Bakersfield\, and Mad House in San Diego. Emily has opened for Colin Quinn and Judah Friedlander\, she has performed in SF Sketchfest and she’s a local favorite in the Bay Area. \n\nBorn and raised in Logansport\, Indiana\, a town with one high school and a basketball hoop in every driveway\, Emily Van Dyke has made a 15-years-and-counting home of the Bay Area. She started stand-up in 2011 after being laid off from her job as an art teacher. Says Van Dyke\, “the lady at the unemployment office told me to take a class and that I should use the time off to explore myself and learn something new. So I did. She moved to New York City to become a stand-up comedian and I told jokes around the city\, not caring that her english wasn’t great until someone asked if she was deaf.  \n\n\n\nWhile in NYC\, aside from doing stand up\, sh had a myriad of jobs; from waitress in a French restaurant in Chelsea\, to working for a guy who was renting his apartment to film shoots and music videos – Puff Daddy even once flipped through her DayTimer. \n\n\n\nShe performs regularly around the Bay Area and can be seen at Cobbs\, The Punchline and Rooster T. Feathers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEd Ruben\n\n\n\nEd Ruben has been performing stand-up comedy in the Bay Area for almost 6 years. He was a semi-finalist in the Rooster T Feathers comedy contest in 2018\, and has appeared at such places as the San Jose Improv and San Francisco Punch Line. He has been seen on Robert Rodriguez’s “Matador” on the El Rey Network and a Toyota commercial\, in which he spoke both English and Spanish. His voice can also be heard in the Spanish dub of the Nick Jr. show HobbyKids Adventures. He has written for the National Lampoon and the CBS Diversity Showcase. He has performed in 9 countries & all the major comedy clubs nationwide. On his late night talk show – The L8 Night Show with Stuart & Luke – at the Hollywood Improv\, Stuart shared the stage with many comedians including Nikki Glaser\, Joe Rogan\, and Adam Devine. He has opened for  Russell Peters\, Ali Wong\, Dana Gould\, and Iliza Shlesinger. Most recently\, he recorded his debut comedy special\, which will be available in early 2024. \n\n\n\nStuart’s love for comedy began at the age of 12 when he saw George Carlin on TV and was mesmerized by Carlin’s ability to captivate a crowd with only his thoughts and words. A few years later\, Stuart began watching Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Saturday Night Live religiously\, longing for an opportunity to perform comedy in front of an audience but believing it wasn’t something he had access to do. It wasn’t until Stuart was 18 and a student at UC Berkeley that he went to his first open mic at the Brainwash Cafe in San Francisco that the dream of being a comedian began to become a reality. Within a year\, Stuart was performing on shows all over the Bay Area. On his first paid show\, he got to meet Robin Williams and Mort Sahl and realized that a career in comedy was possible. Shawn always tries to find humor in various situations\, even the toughest of struggles he has encountered so far in life. \n\n\n\nShawn was born in Victorville\, Calif. but raised in Honolulu\, Hawaii. He attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa\, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Theatrical Arts and TV production. Shawn’s stand-up comedy acts have been featured on various networks\, including “Worldasia TV\,” “AZN TV\,” “AZN TV\,” IA TV\,” “The Filipino Channel\,” “Sprint Comedy-Time Network” and “National Lampoon Comedy Radio.” \n\n\n\nBesides his experience in stand-up comedy\, Shawn also has forayed into the acting industry. He has appeared in TV shows\, indie films and commercials- Budlight\, Pizza Hut and Pocari Sweat\, to name a few- and has guest starred in “Hawaii\,” NBC’s cop TV series. Feathers Comedy Club and San Jose Improv.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavid Nguyen\n\n\n\nDavid Nguyen is a writer and comedian currently writing and comedianing in California’s Bay Area. Questions will cover a variety of topics and categories.  \n\n\n\nTickets are sold by the table (seating for 4 or 6). Individual tickets can be purchased if you need to a 5th or 7th person to your team.  \n\n\n\nIf you want to play\, but do not have a team\, you can purchase individual tickets and we can place you with a team. If you have questions\, see the FAQ below along with contact information. \n\n\n\n3 Steves Wine Club Members get a 10% discount using code 3STEVESTRIVIA. They don’t have to be the smartest people you know\, just the most fun. Teams can be anywhere from 4-7 people. Teams will be seated at reserved tables with seating for 4 or 6 people. You can add up to one more person with purchase of an individual ticket. \n\n\n\n4 person tables can add up to 1 more with individual tickets \n\n\n\n6-person tables can add up to 2 more with individual tickets \n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions\n\n\n\nThere will be 6 rounds of 10 questions from various categories to be revealed at game time. The categories will vary so it’s best to brush up on all kinds of trivial things whether it’s sports\, movies\, music and pop culture.  \n\n\n\nAnswers will be submitted via one smartphone (e.g. iPhone or Android) per table. We try to make sure there is enough variety with topics and categories that anyone could have a chance to win. \n\n\n\n\nHow do we use our phones to play?\nEach team will pick a captain who will use their mobile phone (iPhone or Android) to sumbit answers to each question. They will not have to download an app. They will scan a QR code\, or enter a URL on their phone web browser to enter your team’s name to play.  \n\n\n\nQuestions will be presented by the host and displayed on the phone and a TV.
