Jason Cole

Oakland California comedian Jason Cole hit the comedy ground running by taking 1st place in the first competition he ever entered, winning a feature spot opening for comedian and TV star John DiResta at the Orinda Theater. Jason recently performed at the Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival as well as at many of the legendary San Francisco Bay Area clubs such as the Punch Line and Cobb’s. His quick-witted, self-deprecating style finds humor and laughs in all the dark corners of his life and the crazy life around us.

Jason produces and hosts the successful Standup Broadway Presents First Friday monthly showcase at the famous Sound Room in Oakland. He also produces and hosts the weekly That’s Not Gravy (TNG) comedy podcast with thousands of listens on iTunes, Spotify, etc.

Brooke Heinechen

Brooke is a San Francisco stand-up comedian and winner of the 2019 Rooster T Feather’s comedy competition, out of 180+ comics. She has performed at the 2018, 2019 and 2020 SF Sketchfest, selected as one of Audible’s Fresh Faces of Stand-Up (a show highlighted in USA Today), and opened for Janeane Garafolo. She was selected for the 2018 SF International Comedy Competition, and has performed at the SF Punch Line, Cobb’s Comedy Club and is a paid regular at Rooster T. Feathers. She has studied satire writing with The Second City, and her jokes have been featured on the front page of Reddit and as the Joke of the Week at the DNC Speechwriters office.

She produces monthly Bay Area showcases Jokelandish, Resistance is Fertile and Brave New Jokes.

Brian is the creator, and host of Adulted, and a Bay Area comedian and writer. He left the high stress world of tech for the low wage life of standup comedy performing under the stage name Skip Everett. His biggest claim to fame is inventing the Spam filter so he’d have an excuse for not reading his parents’ emails.

He performs regularly around San Francisco including Cobbs, The Punchline, and Rooster T. Feathers. He has written for Chicago’s Second City, and co-created the underground humor magazine “In Formation.” He is a published author, and keynote speaker on innovation and creativity.

San Francisco Comedy Competition Finalist, Pauline Yasuda

Pauline Yasuda is the first-ever Asian female to make the finals of the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition, which is in its 44th year. She placed 4th overall and joins the list of previous finalists that include Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, Dana Carvey, and Dane Cook. She is also the winner of the 2013 California’s Funniest Female Competition.

She is an alumna of Acme Comedy Theatre and has shared the stage with Matthew Lillard, Alex Borstein, and Tatyana Ali as a sketch performer and writer. As a stand-up comedian, she won the Wild Card Round at the World Series of Comedy in 2012. In 2014, she was considered one of the “Best of Fest” at the Burbank Comedy Festival.

San Jose based band Panthelion brings its NuClass movement to awe struck audiences in their much hailed live performances.

Panthelion is the innovative force behind the new musical genre known as NuClass. A term coined by the group after attempts to classify their music according to traditional standards failed, NuClass stands for Neo Urban Classical Music. NuClass takes the sophistication of the concert hall and seamlessly blends it with the rawness of the streets. Stylistically, NuClass draws on elements of jazz, classical, tribal, urban-groove, hardcore and electronica.

Kira Soltanovich is a comedian, actress, and writer best known for her correspondent work on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for almost 9 years. She was the Phony Photo Booth, which turned into the show’s longest-running comedy piece. (that didn’t have Jay in it)

Kira has a half-hour stand up special on Showtime called Here Comes Trouble and a one hour stand up special on Amazon called You Did This To Me. She’s the sidekick to host Donald Faison on the Netflix game show, Winsanity and she’s been a recurring comedian on several FOX television shows: Punchline and The Drama.

Dominique Gelin is a comedian and writer based in Oakland, CA. She offers strong opinions on stupid things, -isms, and jerks. It’s all very fascinating. Dom has performed at the All Jane Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, KQED, and others. When she’s not on stage, Dom writes for local sketch groups Killing My Lobster and Nice Tan.

Emphasis is placed on using cruciferous vegetables, sea vegetables and homemade broths in our soups. Culinary Angels believes this philosophy will help promote health, wellness, and hope to people who are compromised by their challenge. Organic, healing foods are an important part of our bodies’ natural instinct to be well!

Stand up comedian Laurie Kilmartin has been doing standup since 1987 and has appeared on CONAN, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Comedy Central. Her Seeso special “45 Jokes About My Dead Dad” made Vulture’s list of Top Ten Comedy Specials of 2016. She’s written two books, Shitty Mom (2012) and Dead People Suck (2018).  She is currently a writer for CONAN on TBS, and previously wrote for Tough Crowd w/Colin Quinn (Comedy Central) and The Late Late Show with Craig Fergusion (CBS). Austin Blaylock is a comedian and writer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Austin has performed standup comedy at the San Francisco Punchline, Cobb’s Comedy Club, Rooster T. Feather’s, San Francisco Comic Con, and Silicon Valley Comic Con. His comedy has been described as “Low self esteem worded eloquently”. Austin hosts the most popular show in the South Bay Area called Super Stacked, and lives with his cat.

Bernadette Luckert

Bernadette Luckett started doing standup over twenty years ago in New York City after working as a professional model, a cookie packer, and a lab tech at a VD clinic. She gave up her apartment, put all her possessions in storage, and worked the road for two straight years, performing at comedy clubs all over the U.S. – from Alaska and Hawaii to Florida’s cruise ships. She has appeared on standup shows on NBC, Comedy Central, A&E, and MTV. 

Bernadette segued from standup to sitcom writing and has been a writer/producer on several TV sitcoms, including – Living Single; Sister,Sister; Buddies (with Dave Chappelle), The Tracy Morgan Show, ROMEO! and Girlfriends.

Ryan Goodcase

Growing up in the humble mid-west, sometimes it can be hard to stand-out in California. That’s why Ryan Goodcase has taken to the mic to make his soft, awkward voice heard. Praised for his smart writing and dry delivery, Ryan has quickly made a name for himself in the Bay Area.

See why 7×7 Magazine named him one the 5 to watch Bay Area comics. He’s also a regular at Punch Line San Francisco and Rooster T. Feathers, and was just named Comedy Machine’s 2018 Tournament of Champions winner.

His act spans from growing up on a marijuana farm to raising his own son to dating as a single parent. Ira Summer, Headliner

Ira Summer was raised in New Jersey to believe that it is OK to laugh at everything, and eating makes you feel better. Even after moving to California, he tried to pass that philosophy onto his own sons. Starting comedy late in life, Ira is blessed with a large, dysfunctional family that loves to share and is constantly providing him with material.

Ira has performed all across the United States. He was a finalist in the US Comedy Contest in 2018 and 2019, and competed in the World Series of Comedy Main Event in 2017 and 2018.

Nicole Tran

Nicole Tran has performed all around the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento. She has performed regularly at The SF Punchline, Cobb’s and the San Leandro Performing Arts Center.

She studied acting and dancing and was a finalist at the Rooster T. Feathers new comedians competition.

About Unravel Pediatric Cancer

Unravel is a nonprofit organization working to spread knowledge about the grim realities of pediatric cancer and the devastating impact from the lack of funding. We supply the information, tools and support to individuals and communities that want to help create change– because good people want to do good things but sometimes they need help getting started. All monies raised by and for Unravel will go directly to the fight against pediatric cancer.

In addition, Unravel partners with other nonprofits to strengthen our efforts. We do all of this with one goal in mind; we will unravel pediatric cancer.

Announcing a New Show, Just in Time for Mother’s Day

Showmentum is thrilled to announce our latest show “You’re Not the Boss of Me”, a night of MomCom from the hilarious Alexia Jackson. This one woman comedy show premieres Saturday night May 11, at McGrail Vineyards in Livermore, California.

Alexia believes “It’s time for mothers to COME OUT!..what the hell – everyone else has!..” and tell the truth about the impossible and humbling journey of raising kids, by forewarning the next generation – and validating the current one.

With the last of her three kids off to college, she has returned to stand-up, having previously performed at San Francisco’s Cobb’s Comedy Club and The Punchline, and all over the Greater Bay Area including Trek Winery, Crooked Vine, Backstage Wine Café and Sweetwater Music Hall, to name a few.

About Alexia Jackson

Alexia is best known for her multi-media documentary exhibit, MOTHER: THE JOB, Building Human Capital, Building Human Beings, which launched the first-ever Museum of Motherhood (MOM), NYC, in 2011, www.motherthejob.org. MOTHER: THE JOB is also the founding exhibit for The Association for Research on Mothering (ARM), an international coalition representing mothers from all over the globe. Her work has impacted Gender Studies and Women’s Studies at the university level in the US.

Having written comedy for years and having performed her stand-up at The Punchline, Cobb’s Comedy Club, Best of SF Comedy, and locally at TREK Winery and Sweetwater Music Hall, to name a few, she now dedicates her time to her return to comedy and fundraising. Alexia is also a commercial actress with Marla Dell Talent Agency in San Francisco. Folks are compelled to support her hilarious comedy as she makes her way to Los Angeles – and fulfilling her dream of performing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show…in a ‘Go Big or Go Home’ comedy adventure to prove that there’s life after parenting!

Alexia’s three children graduated from Redwood High School in Larkspur, CA. With two of them now in the work force and the third finishing her first year of college, she and her husband reside in Corte Madera, CA where they now enjoy…doing whatever they want!
