The lineup celeberates the diverse range of perspectives\, backgrounds and experiences that make Bay Area comedy unlike anywhere else in the world.  \n\n\n\nPresented by Showmentum\, What the Duck: Stand-Up Comedy Night is a celebration of Bay Area humor at its finest. Grab your friends\, grab a cold one\, and settle in for an evening of stand-up in the heart of Oakland. Doors open at 7:00pm\, laughs come fast\, and memories last all night. Tickets are limited\, so don’t wait and snag yours before they’re gone. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStarring\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrian Maggi\n\n\n\nBrian is the creator\, and host of Adulted\, and a Bay Area comedian and writer. He left the high stress world of tech for the low wage life of standup comedy performing under the stage name Skip Everett. His biggest claim to fame is inventing the Spam filter so he’d have an excuse for not reading his parents’ emails. \n\nHe performs regularly around San Francisco including Cobbs\, The Punchline\, and Rooster T. Feathers. He has written for Chicago’s Second City\, and co-created the underground humor magazine “In Formation.” He is a published author\, and keynote speaker on innovation and creativity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavid Nguyen\n\n\n\nDavid is a writer and comedian currently writing and comedianing in California’s Bay Area. One half of The Colossal Show\, San Jose’s premier independent comedy showcase\, David is a mainstay both in the local scene and comedy clubs across the state. David is a refreshingly positive voice in stand up – his act has a sharp edge but never draws blood. He’s like a bag of jelly beans with the licorice and popcorn beans left in – overall\, very sweet\, but with just enough bitter notes to keep it interesting. \n\nDavid was a finalist in the 2011 Rooster T Feathers New Talent and 2012 Battle of the Bay comedy competitions\, and has worked with Carly Aquilino\, Pete Davidson\, Kevin Shea\, Sheng Wang\, Brandon T. Jackson\, Phil Palisoul\, Dat Phan\, Marc Ryan\, John Henton\, John Heffron\, and Robin Williams. He opened Anthony Jeselnik’s 3rd Special: Thoughts & Prayers. \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJared Camacho\, your Host\n\n\n\nJared “Nacho” Camacho is an improviser and stand up comedian from Livermore\, California. His style aims to poke fun at life’s ambiguity with a witty and sardonic tone. Jared likes to interact with the audience and share hilarious anecdotes\, often making fun of himself and those closest to him.
