The daughter of immigrants\, Shanti’s humor reflects her experience as an Indo-Fijian woman\, growing up as a second generation American.  \n\n\n\nCharan was named San Francisco Bay Guardian’s “Best Comedian” in their Annual “Best of SF” edition. SF Weekly awarded Shanti “Best Stand Up on the Way Up”\, stating Charan’s writing\, “is clever and confident beyond her years”. Shanti has had the opportunity to work with and feature for Bobby Lee\, Fortune Feimster\, Ronny Chieng\, Sheng Wang\, Atsuko Okatsuka\, Anthony Jeselnik\, Dan Soder and Hasan Minhaj. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSophia Garrow\n\n\n\nSince moving to San Francisco in 2022\, Sophia has been featured in SF Sketchfest\, Limestone Comedy Festival\, Vail Comedy Festival\, Cheaper Than Therapy\, the Palace of Fine Arts\, the SF Standard and many more.  \n\n\n\nHer comedy has been described as “are you sure you want to tell strangers about that?” by her mom and “but you’re still an accountant\, right?” by her dad. With a mix of personal anecdotes\, a dash of self deprecation\, and an eerie similarity to Rosie the Riveter\, Sophia will make you feel like you’ve been best friends all along. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWalker Glenn\n\n\n\nWalker Glenn is a stand-up comic\, writer\, podcaster\, and the grumpy dad you didn’t know you wanted. In 2023 he performed in Treefort Fest and SF Sketchfest. He is a regular at Cheaper Than Therapy and Laughs Unlimited\, a frequent contributor to the punk news/satire site the Hard Times\, and host of the podcast Idiotalk. He lives in Oakland\, CA with his human son and canine dog\, and he is not mad at you— he’s just disappointed. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrian Maggi\, your host\n\n\n\nBrian is the executive producer of Showmentum and performs around the Bay Area\, including Cobbs\, The Punchline\, and the Bankhead Theater. He has opened for Laurie Kilmartin and Kira Soltanovich. He also wrote sketch comedy for Second City and co-created the underground humor magazine “In Formation.” He is a published author and keynote speaker on innovation and creativity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCulinary Angels is an all-volunteer\, donation-based non-profit organization that delivers nutritious meals to people going through a cancer. \n\n\n\nA portion of each ticket sold is donated to Culinary Angels to help them with their mission to bring nutritious meals to people going through cancer. \n\n\n\nTheir volunteers are trained to cook with as many organic ingredients as possible and focus on nutrient-rich\, plant-based\, seasonal ingredients. Emphasis is placed on using cruciferous vegetables\, sea vegetables and homemade broths in our soups. Culinary Angels believes this philosophy will help promote health\, wellness\, and hope to people who are compromised by their challenge. Or you may have seen her in the school drop-off line where she is happy to tell you the proper way to jettison your kid. \n\n\n\nRegina is a multiple Moth StorySlam Winner\, an NSN Grand Slam Finalist\, and invited to be an Exchange Place Teller at the prestigious National Storytelling Festival. She writes the Normal Notes blog\, which features the life stories of a special needs parent and a multiple sclerosis warrior raising three kids with her wife in the suburbs. Whether through storytelling\, stand-up\, or writing\, Regina tells true\, personal stories infused with humor\, bringing light to the struggles and strengths of the human condition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarrie Gilbert\n\n\n\nCarrie is one of the slowest-rising comedians in the country. After being knighted with the Class Clown yearbook honorific at Foothill High School in 1992\, she received an award for “strengthening the fabric of goodwill that exists in the world through laughter” after she performed at a benefit gig in Seattle in 1997. She made it to the finals of the Killer Laughs competition at Dublin’s (dearly departed) Bunjo’s Comedy Club in 2012. She also made it onto Last Comic Standing if you count the crowd shots in the first episode of the seventh season. Carrie recently returned to standup after taking time off to focus on pesky day jobs\, singing with the local Broadway chorus\, and four-leaf clover-related pursuits.
