Laughs in a Glass features the best of Bay Area comedy for a great cause. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFeaturing\n\n\n\n\n\nGina Stahl-Haven\n\n\n\nGina is the 2nd Place Winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 2019 (the first woman to place this high in 34 years) and winner of the 2nd Annual MarinComedy Amateur Competition. She has been performing in the comedy and improv world for over 15 years; featured at the Un-Scripted Theatre Company\, SF Improv Festival\, Hawaii Improv Festival and various comedy spots throughout the Bay Area.  \n\n\n\n\n\nJon Lehre\n\n\n\nJon Lehre has performed stand-up comedy throughout California\, participated in the 2020 San Diego Comedy Competition\, and was featured on the story-telling radio program\, The Moth\, in 2021. He continues to meander through his mid-life crisis with the bemused tolerance of his wife\, two kids and easily startled dog. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAustin Blaylock\n\n\n\nAustin Blaylock is a comedian and writer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Austin has performed standup comedy at the San Francisco Punchline\, Cobb’s Comedy Club\, Rooster T. Feather’s\, San Francisco Comic Con\, and Silicon Valley Comic Con. His comedy has been described as “Low self esteem worded eloquently”. Austin hosts the most popular show in the South Bay Area called Super Stacked\, and lives with his cat. \n\n\n\n\n\nBrian Maggi\, Your Host\n\n\n\nBrian is the Executive Producer of Showmentum\, and creator of Adulted. Originally from the midwest\, he’s now a Bay Area comic and writer. His biggest claim to fame is inventing the Spam filter so he’d have an excuse for not reading his parents’ emails. \n\n\n\n\n\nSupporting a Great Cause\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA portion of every ticket sold will be donated to Culinary Angels \n\n\n\nCulinary Angels is an all-volunteer\, donation-based group that provides healing\, nutrient-rich meals to people going through a serious health challenge.  About 95% of their recipients are actively going through cancer treatment. \n\n\n\nTheir volunteers are trained to cook with as many organic ingredients as possible and focus on nutrient-rich\, plant-based\, seasonal ingredients. She has performed at the 2018\, 2019 and 2020 SF Sketchfest\, selected as one of Audible’s Fresh Faces of Stand-Up (a show highlighted in USA Today)\, and opened for Janeane Garafolo. She was selected for the 2018 SF International Comedy Competition\, and has performed at the SF Punch Line\, Cobb’s Comedy Club. \n\n\n\n\n\nJason Cole\n\n\n\nJason Cole hit the comedy ground running by taking 1st place in the first competition he ever entered\, winning a feature spot opening for comedian and TV star John DiResta at the Orinda Theater. He performed at the Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival as well as at many of the legendary San Francisco Bay Area clubs such as the Punch Line and Cobb’s. His quick-witted\, self-deprecating style finds humor and laughs in all the dark corners of his life and the crazy life around us. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJames Mwaura\n\n\n\nJames Mwaura is a SF-based standup comedian. James is biracial – half black\, half regular – and grew up in Georgia. DESCRIPTION:San Francisco Comedy Competition Finalist\, Pauline Yasuda\n\n\n\n\n\nPauline Yasuda is the first-ever Asian female to make the finals of the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition\, which is in its 44th year.  She placed 4th overall and joins the list of previous finalists that include Robin Williams\, Ellen DeGeneres\, Dana Carvey\, and Dane Cook. She is also the winner of the 2013 California’s Funniest Female Competition.  \n\n\n\nShe is an alumna of Acme Comedy Theatre and has shared the stage with Matthew Lillard\, Alex Borstein\, and Tatyana Ali as a sketch performer and writer.  As a stand-up comedian\, she won the Wild Card Round at the World Series of Comedy in 2012.  In 2014\, she was considered one of the “Best of Fest” at the Burbank Comedy Festival.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPanthelion\n\n\n\nSan Jose based band Panthelion brings its NuClass movement to awe struck audiences in their much hailed live performances. \n\n\n\nPanthelion is the innovative force behind the new musical genre known as NuClass. A term coined by the group after attempts to classify their music according to traditional standards failed\, NuClass stands for Neo Urban Classical Music. NuClass takes the sophistication of the concert hall and seamlessly blends it with the rawness of the streets. Stylistically\, NuClass draws on elements of jazz\, classical\, tribal\, urban-groove\, hardcore and electronica.

Gina took 2nd place in this year’s San Francisco Comedy Competition\, making her the first female finalist since Ellen DeGeneres in 1985. This amazing contest has launched other comedy greats like Robin Williams\, Dana Carvey\, Marc Maron\, and Patton Oswald. This is a unique opportunity to catch Gina\, in one of her first public performances since finishing the competition. \n\n\n\nAcoustic Blues & Jazz\n\n\n\nThe Jeff Bordes Trio featuring Rudy Parris will be playing in the Estate Room after the comedy show. He has toured in Japan and across the United States with various groups such as the Bill Berry Big Band\, Dizzy Gillespie\, and others. Bordes has recorded numerous CDs for a variety of groups including San Francisco’s Force Seven\, Adam Ben\, Heather Combs\, and Boston’s ‘The Hi-Hats.’ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRudy Parris\n\n\n\nNative American country singer/songwriter hails from Central California’s San Joaquin Valley.  Being influenced by the Bakersfield sound\, Parris was honored to have enjoyed a longstanding residency playing alongside country legend Buck Owens at his Crystal Palace in Bakersfield\, CA.   \n\n\n\nHe is probably most well known for his appearances on Season 3 of NBC’s The Voice\, where he was featured to over 190 million viewers.  He was a member of Team Blake (Shelton) and was featured in that season’s live finale with a guitar and vocal performance on “Rock and Roll All Night\,” a favorite by his rock heroes\, KISS.

You can come as early as 5:30 for the show. There will be wine by the glass and bottle for sale before and during the show. Also\, we will have food available for sale from one of the many great food trucks or catering services around Livermore.   Is the show outdoors? Yes\, and even though Livermore can be extremely hot during the day\, it cools off a lot at night once the sun goes down. Sometimes it can be a little windy. We recommend bringing a jacket or fleece for the evening.    Is food available for sale? Yes\, there will be a food truck on site starting at 5:30pm when the gates open.    What about parking? There’s plenty of free parking in the lot and in back.   What about traffic? Look ahead before heading out. Sometimes traffic on Tesla road gets backed up from people avoiding 580. Taking Patterson Pass to Greenville road can get you around the frustrating bottleneck.   Can you buy tickets at the door? All monies raised by and for Unravel will go directly to the fight against pediatric cancer. \n\n\n\nIn addition\, Unravel partners with other nonprofits to strengthen our efforts.
